fg66 Cricket Betting — bet on every format from T20 to Test
fg66 is with you for every match in BPL, IPL and international cricket — straightforward markets, clear odds and live betting.
The three cricket formats and the tournaments Bangladeshis love
The first step to understanding cricket betting is knowing the three main formats. Each format has a different pace, duration and types of markets, so the betting opportunities also differ.
Among Bangladeshi fans, BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) and IPL are the most popular. Alongside these, the T20 World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and bilateral series featuring the Bangladesh Tigers also generate a lot of interest.
T20
This is the fastest format, with 20 overs per side. A match wraps up in just a few hours, and a single wicket or boundary can change the picture entirely. Both BPL and IPL are played in the T20 format.
ODI (One Day International)
With 50 overs per side, this format runs through the whole day. The pace is a bit slower than T20, so strategy and consistency matter more. The ICC Cricket World Cup is played in this format.
Test Cricket
The longest format, played over five days, can end in a draw. From a betting perspective, Test matches offer more markets — you can bet on each innings and on the end-of-day result as well.
Betting on football and other sports beyond cricket
Cricket is not the only sport on fg66. You can bet on football, tennis, badminton and more. There is, however, an important difference between cricket and football betting.
In cricket, a draw is possible (especially in Test matches), so many markets show three outcomes — win, loss and draw. In T20 and ODI there are usually two outcomes (excluding no-results). Football also has three outcomes — home win, away win and draw. Understanding this difference matters before you place a bet.
In cricket, the toss, pitch conditions and weather influence odds far more than they do in football. You can find markets for all sports together on the fg66 Bet page.
7 familiar cricket betting markets
Each market works a little differently. Below is a straightforward introduction to each, with examples.
Match Winner
The simplest market — bet on which team will win the match. Example: if you back Team A to win, the bet pays out only if Team A wins.
T20ODITestToss Winner
Bet on which team will win the toss before the match begins. The result of the match has no bearing on this — you win the bet simply if the correct team wins the toss.
All FormatsTop Batsman
Bet on which batsman will score the most runs within a team. Example: which player in Team A will score the highest individual total.
ODIT20Total Runs Over/Under
Bet on whether the total runs in an innings or across the whole match will be above or below a set number. Example: will total runs be over or under 160.
T20ODITop Wicket Taker
Bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match. This market can be played within a team or across the whole match.
TestODIMulti Bet
A multi bet combines multiple bets from multiple matches into one. If all bets win, the return is much higher, but if even one bet loses, the entire multi bet is lost.
All SportsHandicap Betting
One team is given a virtual advantage or disadvantage to level the betting field. Example: if a weaker team is given a +1 wicket handicap, that advantage is added to the final result to determine the winner. No specific stake or return amounts apply here — understanding the outcome is what matters.
TestODIT20How to read decimal, fractional and American odds
In cricket betting, the same odds can be shown in three different formats. fg66 generally uses the decimal format, but knowing all three is useful on any platform.
All three formats express the same value. If Team A wins, your total return from the bet is ৳1,250 (৳750 profit + ৳500 original stake). If Team A loses, you lose the full ৳500.
Odds on a favourite are lower. If Team B wins, your total return is ৳625 (৳125 profit + ৳500 stake). In the American format, a minus sign indicates how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit — in this case ৳400.
In short: decimal odds are the easiest — multiply your stake by the odds to get the total return. Fractional odds show only the profit, excluding the stake. In American format, a plus sign shows the profit on a ৳100 bet; a minus sign shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100.
Multi bet example
Three separate selections have decimal odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90 respectively. The combined multi bet odds will be 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (approximately).
On a ৳100 bet, if all three win your total return is ৳581. But if even one loses, you lose the entire ৳100 — multi bets carry higher risk.
Odds shift when wickets fall — live betting explained
With standard betting you place your bet before the match starts. With live in-play betting you can also bet while the match is in progress. Odds keep changing with every over, every wicket and every boundary.
Example: in a T20 match, if Team A reaches 120 runs for 3 wickets after 15 overs, their odds of winning will shorten (meaning they become the favourite). But if two quick wickets fall in succession, the odds will shift rapidly. It is this constant movement that makes live betting a different experience.
In ODI matches, odds often shift significantly after the end of the powerplay, and in Test matches at the start of the second innings. These are key moments in live betting. Keep in mind — odds change fast, so take time to assess the situation carefully before making a decision.
Betting is always for entertainment — avoid making large decisions on impulse during live betting. It is a good idea to read the responsible gaming guidelines.
A few useful points before you start cricket betting
- Set a budget: Decide in advance how much you will bet on each match. Do not try to recover losses by placing bigger bets — this increases your risk.
- Know the format before you bet: T20 and Test markets are not the same. In T20 the last over can turn a match around; in Test cricket pitch conditions change over five days.
- Start with one or two markets: Rather than betting across many markets at once, start with straightforward ones like match winner or toss winner.
- Be careful with multi bets: The returns on a multi bet can look attractive, but one losing bet ends it all. If you play multi bets for entertainment, keep the stake small.
- Keep emotions in check during live betting: Odds move quickly during a match. Think calmly rather than making big decisions on impulse.
- Betting is entertainment: Cricket betting is a way to enjoy the game more, not a reliable source of income. Do not bet more than you can afford.
Things to keep in mind about betting
In cricket, weather, pitch conditions and a team's recent form are the three factors that influence odds the most. These are indicators, not guaranteed outcomes.
In Test cricket, spinners tend to benefit on a fifth-day pitch — this can be useful information in bowler markets. In T20, the powerplay run rate in the first 6 overs often sets the tone for the entire innings.
